Join volunteers from the Mon/Yough Trail Council and the generous folks at Pennsylvania American Water on Friday, October 8 to cut the ribbon on a new hydration station at the Great Allegheny Passage trailhead in Boston. Register in advance for a cxommemorative t-shirt and bring your camera for great views.
This fun ride or walk along the Great Allegheny Passage starts at Yough River Park in Connellsville, and heads in either direction, toward West Newton or Ohiopyle, depending on your choosing. While in Connellsville, check out the Bananas for Bikes exhibit of vintage bicycles displayed in downtown storefronts. Proceeds from this event benefit the Yough River Trail Council.
The GAP Relay presented by UPMC Health Plan is a two-day non-stop relay challenge that you won't want to miss. Relay teams will tackle 150 or 60 miles that include relay legs of varying distances along Great Allegheny Passage from Pittsburgh's South Side to Cumberland.

Ride out to the Meyersdale Area Historical Society's Halloween Fun at the Station event on Saturday, October 30. Explore the model railroad and artifacts from the Western Maryland Railway, including a real caboose painted in livery colors. A competitive mountain bike race in varying classes with eligibility for a Super D time trial run with some climbing.
