Length: 150 miles from Pittsburgh to Cumberland Maryland.

Highlights: If you're not up for the entire 150 miles, there are a lot of trail segments well worth a few hours to a few days. From Point State Park in Pittsburgh to suburban Homestead, to miles and miles of scenery as the trail follows the Youghiogheny River south, there's no shortage of variety and scenery. Other highlights include the Keystone Viaduct, a 910-foot-long bridge, tunnels, including the 3,300-foot-long Big Savage Tunnel, the Eastern Continental Divide, and then a downhill ride to Cumberland, Md. From here you can connect with the old C&O Canal, with a trail that you could follow another 180 miles to Washington, D.C.  More...
