Join the Penn State Extension Master Watershed Stewards in partnership with the Pittsburgh Major Taylor Cycling Club for a captivating bike tour of sections of the Three Rivers Heritage Trail and Great Allegheny Passage. Waterways on Wheels, an educational program of the Penn State Extension Master Watershed Stewards, offers casual bike rides blending history and watershed education. This 12-mile out-and-back ride from the Highline on Pittsburgh’s South Side to the Hot Metal Bridge, and Point State Park will highlight watershed features, steel mill history, and the Pittsburgh Redbud Project. This tour, with educational stops and water breaks, ensures an engaging and informative experience. This no-drop ride welcomes all paces, with speakers providing insights along the way.
