Mysteries of the Mounds: Hike to Expand the Hollow

Enjoy a 2.5-mile nature hike along the Great Allegheny Passage from the Boston trail access area to the preserved riparian habitat of Dead Man’s Hollow, exploring fungal and floral life along the GAP. Attendees will learn about the Allegheny Land Trust’s efforts to expand this historic and natural area along the Youghiogheny River. Dead Man’s Hollow contains community-forged bike trails and bike jump mounds; this hike will pass over mostly flat terrain. Event proceeds will support the effort to save local land and expand Dead Man’s Hollow. Consider adding a donation to help make this project become a reality!
