Whitsett Community Day

Stop by the lovely community of Whitsett, a patch town populated by descendants of coal miners and home to a lovely afternoon community appreciation day. The grill will be hot, and the lemonade on ice, and friendly neighbors will greet you and tell about this quiet spot along the Great Allegheny Passage. There’s a baseball field and meadow with abundant goldenrod, and the Youghiogheny River meanders nearby. Consider arriving with a donation to support local trail volunteers!
