Contractors deployed by Ohiopyle State Park staff are replacing a culvert that sends stormwater under the Great Allegheny Passage and into the Youghiogheny River near mile marker 79. Work began on November 15 and has continued into February as weather permits. The GAP in this area remains open to travelers, and a temporary footpath provides a short, single-track detour. Please dismount your bicycle, and watch for construction vehicles on the trail near this remote location.
