The Great Ride

You can view The Great Ride, a spectacular new WQED documentary covering the journey along the Great Allegheny Passage and C&O Canal Towpath at www.wqed.org/ride anytime through March 31.  Filmed in 2018 and released on March 14, 2019, The Great Ride follows veterans, a historian, a naturalist, a trail volunteer, and four riders from the Cleveland, Oh. chapter of Black Girls Do Bike, through locks, over viaducts, and between rivers.

Produced by WQED's Beth Dolinar, and filmed by Paul Ruggiere, The Great Ride captures the spirit of the entire Pittsburgh-to-Washington, D.C. journey.  Additional vignettes featuring gems along the journey are available at www.wqed.org/ride.
