Contractors will be installing a rainwater catchbasin and drain line under the Great Allegheny Passage at the Smithton parking lot and trail access area between March 3 and 10. This work will require bicyclists to dismount and walk a few hundred feet though the adjacent parking lot. Construction vehicles and heavy equipment will be present on and across the GAP in this location. Please slow down when you approach, remain alert, take caution walking through the parking lot, and show courtesy to those performing this critical work.
This project is complete and the GAP is clear for travel.
