Threadbare Cider House

Make your way from the western terminus of the Great Allegheny Passage to Threadbare Cider House, a combination cidery, bottle shop, and pizza kitchen on Pittsburgh’s North Side. Established in 2017, Threadbare produces over a dozen high-quality craft ciders and meads, made on-site with local apples and honey. The kitchen serves sourdough and gluten-free pizzas using seasonal ingredients, plus appetizers and delicious desserts. Plenty of local beers and craft cocktails round out a tantalizing menu. Plus, inside Threadbare Cider House’s tasting room, there’s a life-size Lite Brite installation depicting the story of Johnny Appleseed, perfect for kids and kids at heart. Boasting a spacious indoor tasting room and a beautiful seasonal cider garden patio that is bicycle- and dog-friendly, it’s the perfect place to kick off or end your journey on the GAP.
