Pittsburgh Quarterly Photo Essay Captures GAP Bicyclists

By Bryan Perry |

Photographer John Beale’s splendid photo essay of bicyclists along the Great Allegheny Passage graces the webpage of Pittsburgh Quarterly. Beale captured shots of day-trippers and thru-riders between Downtown Pittsburgh and Cumberland, and heard some of their motivations for riding the GAP — everything from seeing local geological landmarks to riverside camping to completing a bucket list adventure. Take a look at the photo essay here and see if you recognize any familar faces!
