Professional contractors will demolish the long-closed Mitchell’s Fish Market restaurant in Homestead beginning May 14. This work will require a short on-sidewalk detour for travelers on the Great Allegheny Passage. Please slow down and dismount in this area, and pay attention to construction vehicles entering and exiting the demolition site. Eventual redevelopment of the parcel includes rerouting a short section of the GAP along the Monongahela River rather than through the existing parking lot.
