Potential Rockfall Between Duquesne and Homestead

A two-mile segment of the Great Allegheny Passage in Allegheny County, beneath Kennywood Park and bookended by the Whitaker and Port Perry Flyovers, is known to be susceptible to rockfall, downed trees and landslides, and travelers are urged to be alert and take caution when biking, walking, running, or rollerblading in that area. This segment, which remains open, is between the Duquesne and Homestead trail access points. Please remove earbuds, be attentive, and be ready to stop or turn around in case of debris on the trail surface.
