Resurfacing and Culvert Repair on GAP Between Connellsville and Whitsett

GAP Mile 103 | Reported on | Last Updated:

Watch for construction vehicles on a 13-mile section of the Great Allegheny Passage between Connellsville and Whitsett (roughly mile markers 90 to 103) during the summer and fall of 2021. Contractors and volunteers will be repairing and replacing scores of culverts, redigging drainage ditches, and resurfacing the trail corridor. The GAP will not be closed, but please exercise extreme caution when travelling in that area. Be alert for changing conditions and construction vehicles, and travel attentively in consideration of your surroundings. The Regional Trail Corporation is leading this improvement, and the Great Allegheny Passage Conservancy made a $20,000 grant through proceeds from TrailGuide in support.
