Staff from Harpers Ferry National Historical Park announced that they intend to temporarily close the footbridge that connects the C&O Canal Towpath with Harpers Ferry due to rising water on the Potomac River. Visit the park’s website for updates. As of September 7, high water has receded, and the footbridge is open.
