Camp beside the Youghiogheny

At the far eastern end of Cedar Creek Park, the Cedar Creek Hiker-Biker Campground welcomes travelers on the Great Allegheny Passage with a pair of Adirondack-style shelters, picnic tables, open grassy space for tents, and fire rings.  The sites overlook the Youghiogheny River.  There are no shower facilities, but potable water is available.  Sites are available on a first-come, first-served basis and are free for trail users only. There is a two night maximum stay.   If you wish to leave your car overnight at Cedar Creek Park while traveling the Great Allegheny Passage, you must stop by the registration kiosk, located where the main park road crosses the trail. Fill out a registration form and drop it in the box; this will alert park staff that you are on the GAP and how long your car will remain on-site. Please be aware that park gates are locked at night; you may not trespass into the park after the main gates are locked. Motorized and pull-behind recreational vehicles are not permitted.
