Near Confluence and just a few hundred feet from the Great Allegheny Passage lies Outflow Campground, a public, reservable, fee-based campground at the base of the dam that forms Youghiogheny River Lake. It features 63 sites, including some for tents, walk-to group sites, hiker-biker spots, and pull-ins for recreational vehicles. Electric hookups are available, as are flush toilets, showers, drinking water, and a dump station. The campground also offers an amphitheater and children’s playground. Anglers have access to the fast-moving outflow water of the Youghiogheny River, where trout are commonly caught. The campground is managed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
